Walking into The East Room March 4, 2022, you would have no idea it was Hannah Cole’s very first show, or that Caroline Culver and Natalie Madigan had never booked a bill together. The sold-out room was alive with awe as each songwriter took to the stage and bore all to an audience of both friends and fans.

Cole’s intimate lyricism paired with her delicate, yet strong vocals set a sense of still intrigue. Approachable and personal, it was hard to believe this was her first time on stage with a full band. She’ll definitely be one to watch as 2022 unfolds.

We first saw Culver perform as the opening act for Marielle Kraft back in November at The High Watt. Her modern-pop rock, Stevie Knicks-esc. aura, on top of being one of the kindest people we’ve met in Nashville, made catching her headlining show an absolute necessity. Theatrical, dramatic, powerful – Culver commanded the stage, told beautiful stories through songs and got the audience dancing. In typical Nashville fashion, everyone new pretty much, everyone, in the room, which only added to the engaged and connected atmosphere throughout the whole bill.

Madigan brought the punk rock glitz to the stage and blew us away with her soaring voice. Just when I thought she had reached her highest note, she climbed higher, completely filling the room with her sound. Her song, “Remember Why You Fell In Love,” gained quite a bit of traction on TikTok recently, and it was so fun to hear the audience scream those lyrics with her as she closed out the night.
